Hi, I just registered here a few minutes ago and while I was doing that there was already a first point of critique:
Having to tell my gender for registration, I found only two choices, male or female. What about the others? There are lots of people around who define themselves as neither male nor female.
If I'm ask about my gender, I want to formulate the answer by myself and not choose between only two normatively given options.
On a related note, I never understood why MySpace still adheres to that same male/female format. I find compulsory sexual categorization and disclosure quite objectionable.
freeforums.org is the one that asks that on registration. If I could change the choices, I would.
Grrrrrr. I wonder how's it going to be in the new forum.
I cant' use it yet because at the moment, my internet at home is not working. I'm waiting for DSL to be installed. So I'm only online while I'm working nightshift having nothing to do. Problem: When I try to go to the new forum, I get a page telling me I need to get some program installed to use the website. But I can't, since on this computer here at work, only the system administrator can install programs.

So true. It's funny. Myspace sucks in many ways. Still everybody has a profile there, including myself.
They have that question what you want to use myspace for. I didn't pick "dating". Still when I put up my profile there, I got all these messages from stupid men, ranging from "hey you're so sexy let's have some fun together" to "I'm searching for a serious romantic relationship and I think you're so beautiful, I really wanna be with you, I'm in love with you." Like, as the first message you write to someone you don't know, that's so stupid.

The website is down again. Hopefully, It'll be back up really soon. I get the same message about installing something and thats because the host is having problems.
